Our Coverage is designed for international students and scholars studying outside their home country. It offers four levels of coverage (Elite, Select, Budget, Smart) to fit various needs and budgets.
The policy meets J-1 visa requirements and many school and program insurance requirements.
Know Before You Go
Pre-existing conditions have varying coverage depending on the plan, with some being excluded entirely. Routine medical exams and immunization are generally excluded, except under certain conditions in the Elite plan. Injuries from extreme sports and conditions that don't meet the acute onset criteria are excluded.
Emergency Assistance When You Need It Most
Coverage includes emergency medical evacuation, repatriation of remains, accidental death, and dismemberment. Offers benefits for maternity, nursery care, vaccinations, and preventative care under certain plans. We also provide coverage for mental health services, outpatient physical therapy, and chiropractic care.

- You must be under age 65; and
- A full-time college or university student (excluding online programs);
- Within 31 days of being a full-time student at a college or university;
- A student under age 19 enrolled in a secondary school; or
- A full-time scholar affiliated with an educational institution and performing work or research for at least 30 hours per week; and
- You must be residing outside your home country for the purpose of pursuing international educational activities; and
- You must not have obtained residency status in your host country; and
- If in the U.S., you must hold a valid education-related visa. A copy of the I-20 or DS2019 may be requested.
